James Frost vs. Joseph Martin

The Plaintiff complained of his having lost a Piece of Rope last Autumn, and could get no tidings of it for sometime, when by accident he found it fastened to Defendants Skiff.

Martin appeared in Court agreeable to Summons of the 29th May last acknowledged his having taken the rope to secure his Skiff in boisterous weather, but with no intentions of fraud, and having forgot to acquaint Plaintiff therewith, it remained in the Ice during the Winter.

Decreed -- that the Defendant do forthwith pay the Plaintiff for said Rope after the rate of 4. per lb.
