Caboto Rock View B & B, a Canada Select approved accommodation is located in Grates Cove, a scenic and historic village on the Northern tip of the Avalon Peninsula. Just a two-hour drive from St. John's and only minutes away from the towns of Bay-de-Verde and Old Perlican, it is a perfect place to stop while touring the Baccalieu Trail. Baccalieu Island Bird Sanctuary, home to millions of nesting seabirds, is a short boat ride away. Icebergs, whales and seabirds are right on our doorstep. And of course, on your visit you can see the historical Cabot Rock Monument of Grates Cove, for which our B&B is named.
Our village of Grates Cove is a 200+ year old fishing outport, and our B&B is a traditional Salt Box style house which is 85-years old. Our accommodations feature 4 large, clean, bright bedrooms (one with ensuite) at affordable rates. We also have laundry & kitchen facilities available for guest use, a dining room and living room with TV. There is a back deck that offers stunning views of Grates Cove and Trinity Bay.
A full hot traditional Newfoundland style breakfast is included, and with advance notice, we can cook a traditional Newfoundland meal for our guests. We are open from Mid-April until the end of November.
